hdin merc?

wheres the best place to get a hdin merc for insight?? i tried a2 hell. any other hints would be nice

An Act 2 NM Def merc could work pretty well cause it'll slow down the monsters and allow you to hit them more with your hammers, and make them attack slower and therefore in a way act defensively for you if they aren't hitting you as often.

what jedi said is probably the best way to go, but you could get a defiance merc too if your defense is low. they are a2 hell(also normal) defensive i believe. another way to go is to get a prayer merc...prayer will then act as a synergy with your insight's meditation for double the healing! using this method you can literally go from 1 life to full in like 2 seconds

i think the best merc for a hammerdin is the act3 merc, equip him with lawbringer, phoenix, eth guardian and kiara. The redemption aura will make sure that he will never die and sanctuary means that dolls or doom knights can't touch you at all... This way it's realy easy to solo cs or clear out a doll infested throne room.

no problem, glad if i could help...if you are pretty rich you might check out loits idea there...seems like it could work pretty good. maybe instead of lawbringer go azurewrath though..cheaper way to get the sanct aura

The most expencive rune in Lawbringer is Lem so no problems there, the important thing is that you have the highest possible aura level, azure has aura lvl 12, Lawbringers is 16-18 so you migh have to make the weapon a couple of times to get aura level 18. Higher level auras have a bigger range and that is important since mercs thend to go off on a tangent quite often.

I'm just going to use eth cv insight, I didn't put any points into energy, so he goes along with me perfectly well. He's already caughten up to my lvl, 87 from 78. He does 8.2k with conc on. Going pretty good, I'm lookin for an eth ap Fort to go with him

about the lawbringer. Which act 3 merc. Cold or fire. i want to loom into this

He's not going to be doing any damage in comparison to what you do so I go for cold because then he can freez some targets at least. For the rest of the equipment i have a coh and a eth shako but if you used a 2 sox coa and a socketed guardian angel with a strengh jewel then that would own aswell. A sligh increase in maximum resis (phoenix already gieves some of these) and more dr from the coa than from shako. DON'T BOTHER DOING THIS BUILD IF YOU DON'T HAVE A PHOENIX. Without redemtion he will die very easily, he basically leeches off the hammerdins mass murder ability. Another important point is taht act 3 mercs are not paladins so only monarch phoenixes allowed.
