People that go over there are still afraid of dying no matter if you are cold hearted or what not, Every one is afraid of the unknown.

People care about dead people because they fear their own mortality, They see some one they once knew in the flesh and blood, dead and cold, and their memories betray them, Good memories become hunting ones, Realization that they to well someday meet that fate, When they see someone desrespecting the dead, Once again their memories betray them and they see that someday too they well perhaps be disrespected, Dug up, spat on, they dont like that thought. So in a desperate attempt to help allevaite the fear of their own mortality and weakness they create traditions such as funerals and such for their freinds that pass, So that when the pass, hopfuly they will not have to suffer there greatest fears.

Has that being said, That's the main issue in life. People are too caught up in the idea of it being gone to truely enjoy it while it is here.

People need to give up their fears of death, or of becoming unknown, or what it is that they have issues with and just try to live a nice life.

I consider soldiers ignorant, Why? Because they follow orders blindly. They are just a piece of group acting in a accordince to a larger group that doesn't clearly state it's motives. I consider that ignorant. However, the idea of screwing with a funeral is also ignorant. I see them both as equal.

A child is a derogatory term as it ties in with a feeling that age is important. I don't call you an old man, I call you a person, as I would like to be seen as. The idea that age makes a difference is ridiculous. I've met many people younger than myself who acted with more maturity and more intelligence then a large number of people considered "Adults"

It's a shame you put your life on the line so that our country could feel freedom, when there has been very few disputes around the world that directly affected our freedom. Also if you wanted to help protect our freedom you would stand up against the new Items being put in place for our "security" in this country. If you cared about freedom, there are many better ways then putting your like on the line, by weilding a weapon. Especailly since all the disbutes have been in other countries. If someone came into the US and tried to take it over to put in place something that would damage my freedom, i'd be next to the next person holding a AK or any other weapon I could get my hands on, But until they attack my homeland, they won't see me using "premptive" measures to stop them.

The reason we are in Iraq (as I think thats why you're pissed now) is to protect and liberate the freedoms from a non-freedom giving government. I agree now that we've done that, making sure they can survive on their own is the last step now and we should begin to pull out, but that has nothing to do with protecting our homeland.

There is a lot of date involved and commonly accepted standard of civility is no longer simply blind ignorance and empty words.

Oh, and the thing about soldiers being ignorant for blindly following orders...You do realize that this isn't a movie and a soldier can go to a superior officer if they're commanding officer is telling them to do things that are immoral or needlessly dangerous. In some circumstances a soldier can relieve his/her commanding officer of their command if the situation calls for such. They don't just follow orders, they follow strategy and precautions to make sure they stay alive. Please, let's leave the stupid pills alone and have a real debate.
