Quote:ITs only expensive cause its not widely used. And conventional engines can run it with a little beefier head bolts and valves. BTW heard of E-85. Its cheaper than gas and guess what....... It consist primarily of ethanol! Wow what a concept. Use existing technology thats cheaper. Zerocool learn facts before sputtering self fabricated fiction
Oh it all sounds nice and fine, yes ethanol is cheap, but you know how many cars are capable of running pure ethanol? fewer than .01%. Most newer cars (year 2000 and above) are capable of running flexfuel, but implementing it leads to a higher cost than actual gasoline. Hybrids are nice, but the lack power, are expensive, and don't last as long as their gasoline counterparts. Everytime I hear somebody say "DURRR, Alternate feuls? GG!" I want to smack them, its such a weak arguement for something that is nowhere near mainstream. You may as well just say why don't we all just scrap our cars and buy a bicycle? So damn impartical...

(Something about Wal-Mart)
But we are in debt. When Clinton was in office, we had money to spare, we were in the black. Then Bush rigged... I mean walked into office, and he killed that and put us billions of dollars in debt.

We will always be in debt...We have been in debt since the day this country was born. You clearly know jack shit about economics Red, Clinton passed tons of bonds and pretty much made money out of nowhere which later caused higher taxes on home owners and mad inflation, to make up for the money he pulled out of his ass. Clinton ****ed over the economy in the long run so he could have short term success and get higher approval ratings. And as far as a leader is concerned you know most of what he supported or proposed was shot down? We had a Republican Congress so Clinton couldn't get anything done and we were in a docile state where nothing happened.
And for all those who praise Clinton for balancing the budget, that's something the government used to do regularly but the last time it happened the great depression followed and balancing the budget was considered one of the causes of that.

(applauds lightly) Touché, you are completely correct in the me not knowing "jack shit" about economics. You brought that up beautifully.
Excuse me, but for my request I need to go "The Price is Right" on you real quick...

The economy really is getting messed up. Look at the trend in what seems to be the pimary subject for the last few pages. Gasoline. It took like 80 years to reach the price of a dollar per gallon. And in the past few years it went up 2 more. Whats up with that. And A.D., you gotta go to an alternative fuel somewhere down the road. One thats renewable. Even if the price of implementation is high you have to face it. Oil is not renewable. It will be gone. And when it is it would be cheaper to switch to alcohol or propane even rather than to render every internal combustion engine inoperative. Man even biodeisel. Its all a game of who can milk the cash cow the longest. And they use any excuse. George bush puts on 2 mismatching shoes and the price of gas goes up to make up for what the government had to pay for that lost time for him to find the match. Then the electric company raises their prices to compensate for gas prices. Yet all of them continue to report record profits at the expense of middle and lower class americans once comfortable living conditions. God bless america.

I wasnt blaming bush. It was just an analogy/hyperbole explaining the way we get raped with prices as high as they are and the reason they claim is unjustified and really more disproved by the profits they're taking in.
But bush is screwing up. The gas isnt his fault but alot of our problems are. I dont get the whole saying welfare is going broke thing when your dumping millions into countries that burn our flag in the streets. Kinda messed up dont you think.

The "we are in debt" part was about all that I can say was fact Red.
Bigdeath, considering I think the Welfare program either needs better regulation or to be done with completely and getting those countries to stop burning our flag and wanting to kill us is a good thing your argument there holds no water for me.

My argument is this. We give money to people that hate us to make their lives more comfortable when they dont give a damn about people in this country. Some people do abuse programs but the old woman down the street that cant afford her meds cause uncle sam says theres no more money left for her when we just give it to random countries is outrageous. Feed your kids before you feed your neighbors is my motto.

Blood do you know anything? Its been an issue for years that medicaid and social security are going broke. Old people all over are having to take jobs just to support their meager lifestyles just because they had faith in the government. This country is so screwed up in its internal politics its almost funny. I mean I wouldnt be able to sleep at night with some of the crap they do.
