They've been saying that social security is going broke, but they've been making that claim for years and years so it really just comes off as paranoia, but I've not heard anyone say medicaid was going broke.

Blood im just judging the system on what i see. Your grandmother probably has an insurance plan or something cause i dont see the government just giving 10k to an individual, well either that or your just flat out lying to make your point. And spoon thats my point they have been saying its going broke for years but one thing you failed to mention is they show numbers to back it up. and what i typed was actually an error in my grammar, a mistake, not a lack of knowledge of the english language like most of the errors are here. If you wanna see some numbers lemme know and im sure I can find a graph to post here.

America is the most powerful country in the world other countries are getting annoyed because some think we should protect there country more or give them more money some hate our president but at least Bush has supported our military. if we get a president who doesnt support our military as much as him or better than him u can expect bad things to happen to us and the next generation of the U.S.A.

He supports em cause their doing his work really. I think he finally realized that he jumped into a battle he cant win. To the muslims its a holy war. They beleive that they are called to fight against people that threaten their way of life and they use that aspect of their faith and twist it to get more people to fight for their cause with great conviction. I mean what would you do if Iraq invaded the states and tried to impose a dictatorship on us cause they thought it was a better government system than democracy. Some people want it over there but they are multiple cultures fighting for power rather than just Iraqis.

We let them vote for what kind of government they wanted then let them elect their officials...nothing was forced on them unless you consider choices forced.

You think we sent them ballots to overturn their ruler. My guess is no. Second I said thats what they use to corrupt people into joining their forces not that every single person in Iraq feels that way. Yes they did get to vote for thier officials but they got it all wrong. They just try to get people from their particular culture in the executives seat. If they dont succeed they kill them. Obviously that type of government is not going to work. You should learn from the past not repeat it hoping you get the desired results thats a stubborn way to go about things.

Something your article leaves out is that we were also informed by Russian intelligence about Saddam. Also, Iraq wasn't retaliation for 9/11 and everytime I hear someone say, "Why did we attack Iraq if Al Quida isn't even there?" I just want to slap them.

Why was the war started then. He said it was a "worldwide attack on terror" then goes after sadaam on fabricated information. Why did, as soon as we declare war, multiple high up government officials start resigning and the U.N condemn us for declaring said war? He actually said that it was to find weapons of mass destruction. None were found. Then hes like oh nevermind thats not why we were there. And you cant tell me that 9/11 had absolutely no influence on bush's decision to declare war. He was looking for a reason and I guess he thought that this would be the golden oppertunity to go in.

At any rate medicare is a publicly funded program put on by the government. Conservative/Republican groups typically are opposed to non-military spending whereas Democratic/Libreal are the other way around. So it only makes sense that programs like these will suffer beneath a Republican president. Its a government service to the people, it comes out of your taxes. To me it makes more sense to have insurance to cover your medical needs instead of something that rises and falls in the polotical climate. This is why I don't buy into government programs.
As for social security, its a program of where you pay into it and get back what you paid over retirement with interest, much like an IRA but again, becuase of it's government involvement there will always be debates over it. I myself have an IRA that I'm going to use to support myself rather than social security. The link that you showed is correct, the current Social Security costs do exceed the current revenue, but that doesn't take into account the large surplus accumlated for just this reason, to cover a projected revenue deficit. Funny how I came by this information in both links you provided.
As for your anti-Iraq War sentiments, well, the links were rather slanted so I had a hard time sifting through the he-said she-said bullshit to find anything concrete. The first one is an account from Hans Blix, who's just stating his orientation on the current war which he really has nothing to do with. The second one is from Jason Leopold, who's probably just stating his thoughts to promote his book (read the footer).

Either way we go republican or democratic the only way to save these programs are higher taxes. Which no one wants and as you get older insurance becomes so expensive its un attainible. And social security money gets spent faster than it accrues. You dont exactly get what you pay in cause they spend it. What large surplus are you talking about anyway? Yeah hans blix was the man that did the weapons search, aka. the whole initial basis behind the war. I admit if we pulled out now it would be utter chaos but I just think it was a bad idea in the first place.

We didn't find nukes but we found VX gas...so I guess it's ok for them to have weapons like this so long as no buildings get hurt? After all VX gas will kill a shit load of people but a nuke will do that and destroy buildings. I guess that doesnt count huh? Gotta think about the safety of those buildgins man.

Nukes release radiation. Radiation makes the area it hits uninhabitable. Depending on whats in the bomb the half life can be several years. If a nuclear strike was used in an attack on american soil it would most likely be with a long lasting radioactive substance such as radioactive cobalt. Vx is a very deadly chemical but in the long run has no where near the impact a nuke would have. Also there was never any evidence to prove that they intended to use those weapons on us. They may have been planning and it is probably a good thing that they no longer have possesion of said weapons. But it sounds kinda hypocrytical for the only country in history to use a nuclear weapon in warfare to try to police the globe and strip all other countries of their capacity to manufacture a nuclear warhead. Also I read an article that says that the U. N. inspectors found diluted nerve gas samples into Iraq and that officials think that the warheads may have been intentionally tainted to justify the war. Please post the article you speak of. And also for future reference it makes you look like your grasping when you use one point and extend it with sarcastic remarks, just my opinion.
