Classic diablo is all about your lvl. Start a Hammerdin or a Sorc for mf. i guess you won't have any gear. lvl to 90 if you can stand it, 85 if you can't. then go mf your ass off. it's all about finding rares, there are only a few uniques that matter. shard, soj, hotspur, few others. your lvl is 85% of your mf and you're looknig for rares and you can find godly shit at any boss or most uniques.

that's about it, cs forever.

fireball sorc is great for andariel runs, not too bad for duels. you won't be able to kill anything in cs though without a conviction pally. blizz or orb sorc is pretty common and good for cs. static field...well i've only seen a few sorcs go crazy with that skill. it's really only good for hell cows cause dins kill everything in cs that sorcs don't kill. but good for a few points anyway. i don't know if there are sites with classic items but like i said it's all about rares not uniques so you can find anything.

just noticed you said meteorb. i guess that's a hybrid i've never made one. hybrids aren't very powerful in classic, i dont' think you'll be strong enough to be great at anything, pvm or pvp. stick with one or the other

few things to look out for...

i posted a belt in this forum that i found in classic. look at the mods that what you want on a good belt.

swords 1h damage 120+ is godly, but then again people find better stuff all the time so it might be higher now. 2h (executioner) 215+. and of course IAS and +barbskills.
someone found a 178 bhammer that's been duped used to be 140-150 bhammer was godly.

there are no +2 shields except pally shields so jsut find a resist shield with 30/20 if you can and damage to mana str if your'e lucky

ammies, rare of course +2 resist all, fcr, str, dex

armor- look for godly trellised or other lightweight. %hr/resist/life/mana
helm - life/mana/resist/%hr
boots - same as rest...

there's a lot of godly dupe stuff out there but it's expensive as hell if you're just starting. look for sojs or silks armor. you can trade those for sojs.

gloves, frosties or str/dex stuff.

taht's about it i guess...rings, sojs or fcr resists of course.


use shard and shield for sorc. nothing much better. oh yeah one more thing, you can pretty much find any item from any creature in hell. i've found sojs in blood moor several times. nm has best chance of droppin soj and hell andy drops good stuff too. you don't have to hunt the last act to find elites cause you only need rares.
