When you catorgarize terrorism with racial profiling, what race(s) are you generally talking about? When in fact it has little to do with race, but religion. There are a vast amount of American born and raised people that have converted to the Islamic religion and think that they are in some holy war. Are they one race? No, they are a diverse group of Am-er-ic-ans. What relativity therfore, does racial profiling hold in most cases of terrorism?

What is it with you and Muslims? So far every post of yours that I have come across is related directly to Muslims. No, not all terrorists are Muslim. You forget the pshycopaths that run into school buildings and shoot up little kids and bomb the place.

Yeah David Koresh wasn't muslim. Timothy McVeigh wasnt muslim, John Lee Malvo wan't muslim.

Exactly, and even though I have never heard of any of them, it brings me to another execllent point; most terrorists don't even make it to the headlines. And, there are terrorists in countries such as Britian as well.

Yes and no. I was on an airplane going back to Oklahoma, and they were "inspecting" some of the people going into the plane. Lets see, they made a pregnant woman with three kids empty her purse and go through her bags. they made a buisness man talking to his partner on his cell phone do the same thing. They made the only person looking like a terrorist...do nothing. they let him go right on by. I have no problem with not interogating every middle eastern looking man in an airport, but avoiding every single one to not be "profiling" is dumb. I think that yes, it has stopped some crimes from happening but if you are going to inspect the passengers of a plane, inspect the ones that fit the damn profile. Racial profiling will never stop everything, but it wil help, the problem is that airports dont want to be "racist". I think that getting better metal detectors, getting more security in buildings and maybe even stopping anyone that looks suspicious no matter what race or age or height, not preganant women. I think of this because my dad was very very close to the building that Timothy McVeigh bombed.

I had a coworker that used to have to fly frequently. Every single time, he was pulled out for random inspection. About the ninth trip and the ninth time being pulled for random inspection, he finaly said "What, do I look like a terrorist?". He is as white as they come, if that matters.

in the airport i was at it wasnt like that either, it was just pick someone, inpect, wait, pick someone, inspect, wait. but it wasnt very organized either, but then agin maybe i just wasnt paying much attention to the order

Sometimes they just pick people out by general profiling, not racial profiling.

Usually there is some type of truth to profiling. Why people get mad about it I don't entirely understand. Also Zerokool everyone of those guys I mentioned has made headlines.

No what it is, is this. (Keep in mind this is my opinion and not written in stone)
In the Koran it says that their way of life will be jeapordized by a power that will impose their culture on them. It doesnt say that in so few words but the people that want more extremist connotate allusions in the Koran this way. So actually the war that we are in right now is pretty much fullfillment of their prophecy. And that there makes it really easy to push someone with strong convictions already over the line into extremism. Imagine if you thought you were about to get X number of virgins and an eternal blissful of existance for serving your religion and becoming a martyr.
