I have a computer that gets frozen on the first screen when i turn it on
I can either press F10 for a boot menu or F2 for BIOS, the screen never changes, and if i press either button nothing happens, if i get frustrated and press many buttons an audible "tick" comes from the motherboard.
Someone here must know what the deal is, any idea?
::FIXED::

can we get a little more info on the pc, could it be a BIOS, or hardware issue, any new hardware been added or new drivers?

Try getting into your bios with nothing other than keyboard and mouse plugged into your pc. Also remove everything in the PC other than the essentials. i.e. remove any addon cards not needed other than your vid card. Unplug any extra hard drives etc etc. If you have 2 sticks of ram try with just 1, and then the other one.
Process of elimination to find the issue. You could also maybe try resetting the bios with the jumper on the motherboard.

It was one of the hard drives i had in there, unfortunately the one with my operating system on it and a lot of personal things. The computer will boot as long as that particular drive isn't hooked up to the motherboard.
I'm installing an OS to my extra drive right now and I'll try some data recovery stuff later, thanks for the tips guys =)
