I stick by The Simpsons, as I've said before Family Guy repeats itself far too often and pulls the same types of gags in every episode. Not to mention watching one episode is like trying to hold a conversation with a kid diagnosed with ADHD and is also on crack.

The Simpsons has characters I actually give a damn about and there isn't anything Family Guy has done that they didn't do ten years ago.

And what a lameass excuse as to why you dont watch family guy, if you dont watch family guy then how would you even know that they pull "the same gags in every episode" i've seen almost every episode and they DONT. And Watching Something and trying to talk to some retarded kid are two very different things.

u shoulda put southpark somehwere in there. Now i like Old simpsons. Lately the episodes are just getting weak and repetive jokes are used. I do like family guy, but some of the stuff just has no relevance like one of them episodes that i think stewie was just singing elton john..god that was annyoing. Southpark however
just rules and is always fresh and funny

Simpsons is vastly superior to Family Guy. I can't see FG lasting all that much longer, it's pretty repetitive as spoon said, granted Simpsons is at the point nowadays too. I don't watch either anymore.

Devil's advocate...I like them all equally (including South Park in the mix). For me, it more depends on the specific episode rather than the show in general. There are episodes in each that I may rather watch than one of the other shows...not that I remember any of the specific episodes at the current time.

Maybe I'm just making some lame excuse and like all equally anyways. As for some of the older episodes of The Simpsons, comedy must have been different when it started because I didn't really find them that funny or entertaining. There must be something wrong with an old modernist like myself.

I'm also a sucker for their musical episodes and specials, like Blue Harvest.
