Mita's Hdin Guide

Experienced build creator took a look at the Hdin style and decided...

Leveling a Hdin...
Hdins are good even at a low lvl, even with no items from other chars, as long as you wear resist equipment you find along the way.
Your lvl speed will pre-hammer depend on your offensive A2 mercenary. Soon after hammer you wont need the merc. Just light mana pots.
Stats: 70 str 1st, then 40 dex, then rest into vit. (you change this later)
Skills: Only use skill points in skills that are needed to get the end-skills. You will have unused skill points early on, keep them for synergies to hammer. Vigor is the better syn to dump into when you can. Get holy shield to lvl 5 asap, then return to dumping into hammer, then conc, then synergies.

A low end Hdin should have
Spirit swrd/shield
Vipermagi
IK belt
Shako
magefist/chances/trangoul
warTravs/rare with mf-resist-runwalk
mf rings/amulet
(merc baredly matters at this point, but insight is nice)



Then work towards getting an enigma. After that, the rest of a typical build comes easy.
Shako
Hoto / Spirit
Enigma
Maras / SoJ / SoJ
War Travs / Magefists
Arachnids
Pally Torch / Anni
(merc should have insight on good weapon and life leech + resists/def)
(at this point you can reset stats/skills to lower hardstats in str/dex and put into vit)



Next up, is going from typical build, to super build.
This is roughly what a top-end Hdin should look like:

Items:

Other socket ideas for helmet (preferably diadem) are, and in this order:
Zod (if ethreal)
Jah (5% max life -> 100 to 200 life bonus)
Ber(8% phys dmg reduce)
Sheal (20% FHR)
Lo (5% max L resist)
Ist (25% mf)
Cham (cannot be frozen)
Jewel with life/def/resist/mf, whatever combo you like.

I understand there is another pally shield with more block chance.
The other weapon set has:
Call To Arms = for shouts (they get +10 skill lvl from this build)
Spirit pally shield = allSkills applies to shouts.

Quick stats:
12k hammers, 134 FCR (max break point)
11.5k def, 15k with merc aura
1.8k life, 3.2kwith shouts
800 mana with shouts,
55 FHR (next bp is 86, 200) charms to get to 86 is good.
Resists in hell mode: F,75(+15) C75(+50), L 75(+50), P75(+50)
FBR 0. Its okay though, because def is so high you rarely get hit at all, and its usually blocked.

Bot Stats:
Baal tele time average: 2-4 seconds from waypoint.
All 5 act bosses mf run: 8-10 minutes.
If your bot is slower, its the script's fualt. =)
Dangerous mobs: CSanc MiddleSeal group, 3rd group if -arua, LightGhosts in A5, BoomyDolls(though not too bad)
Death rate in all boss runs about 1 out of 1000 runs. Less if you use higher chicken %'s then I do.
Average overnight finds: 1-2 high runes, 10-20 Pgems 10-20 jewels, 2-3 high end items or highly tradeable (like 4s mageplate/monarch or SoJ or tal amy/armor), full inventory of keys/essences if you go that route, 1-2 charms (sc or skiller)

He hasn't activated his 20% chilling armor yet =)
Fire resist lacks, but the helm is not ethreal or socketed (would add fire res jewel probably)
and the fortitude is 1k defense below what it should be

If you want a slightly better surivability bot, probably you can switch out the tiara for a high-end shako with Ber or Jah. Spirit shield needs to be 35% fcr. Switch out one SoJ for a 10 FCR + (all resist or high life). You'll be at 125 fcr (max) still, but gain 1 all skills to your shouts and another 200-500 hp, on top of 10%dmg reduction.

I've got another Hdin going this season and hes just boss, and doesn't even have an anni yet.

Head: 141Shako with Jah (jah adds ~80hp pre-shout)
Amulet: Maras 27
Ring1: Soj
Ring 2: 10FCR with fire resist
Armor: MagePlate enigma (1080def)
Belt: arachnid
Gloves: nm lvl Magefists 69Def
Boot: WarTravs 45mf 190ed
Weap1: Hoto 37
Shield1: vortex spirit 80 resi 259Def 35FCR
Weap2: 1/3/4 cta (3 bo =.=)
Shield 2: spirit 72resi
PTorch 13/10
Gheeds 154/39/14 (out of 160/40/15)
1 comb skiller
2 20hp sc
1 fire resi/fhr gc
rest is either 7mf or 5fhr sc
^as u see my charms suck

But the quick stats:
125 FCR (max)
FHR: 55+charms, 86 can be met with Pcomb skillers + 12FHR (3x=36 --> +55 = 91)
12k Hammers (without anni)
almost 16k def when merc aura active
3.3k life (likely to get up to about 3.5k with 6bo cta, and maybe 3.7k after anni+ token stat change (to drop some like 30str into vit)
1.6-2k smite dmg (can do Ubers, just swap out glove/dracs head/andy fcrRing/raven)
Mf about 250
Finds: 6hrs running usually gets a few pul-ist + a hr + an item worth a hr
like, one day i found Soj + ist mal mal um pul lem
another day i found maras + jah + vex ist ist mal pul + bk ring (good day)
actually, i havent had a bad haul outside of realmdown or client freezes.

The concept behind NOT going for a FCR headpeace is becuase you lose the +2 ALL skills. The headpeice can give 2 pally skills (no shouts included) and be as good as a shako, but is extremely rare, maybe even more fable then the 142 shako (from rounding up the 141.6 or something defense). The 2 all skills will help your Bo, which will help your life ---> less chickens, less deaths, get it?
Maras instead of a craft 20FCR + skills + resi + life amulet, because of the +2 ALL skills again. Bother of these insur that your concentration is higher lvl as well, which will help your merc (and smite) to kill those magic immunes.
Unfortunately, the build requires 1 FCR ring to make the 125 breakpoint. We take advantage of this spot to cover some much needed fire resist. A good ring should also have life and str/dex or even psn/cold length reduce.
SoJ means about as much as a BK in this build, because your using 1 soj instead of 2 (the mana bonus isnt compounding) but your also more life-devoted (BK adds more life then other build). So you do lose the much appreciated never have to use a mp *** from magefist+900ish mana (ull have like 600-700 but the mp pots wont be a problem).
Heres something though, you can ditch to WarTravs (but the mf?! yeah i know, but its better even for mfing) in favor of Ethreal Treks to gain a huge defense bonus and add some other nice modifiers Smile

Where I hold that the circlet/craft build is better then the shako/maras, is if both the circlet and the craft amu are just omg good.
Like a diadem 20fcr +2paly skills + 3sockets +1.5def/lvl + 20dex + 40hp
could have more def/life/DR then shako and some other mods over it

Its just that getting that OMG gear is rediculously hard, so I prefer going the shako/aras route.
