my budget is whatever i can afford and still get a good gaming computer. i'd say no more than 250-300 for processor/motherboard. has to have AGP slot and and at least 2gb ddr capacity. and at least 2.2ghz processor speed.

and what have you heard/expirienced with VIA? i've got a VIA chipset and i have no complaints other than my computer being a little outdated. but i can still play some high end games on it right now.
