What is your opinion on gay people and gay marriage?
my onkle is gay and i just got told yesterday that he will get married hehe :p
congratulations man! (i think...)
GodandRock Wrote:im not completely supporting wat blackzon said...but we should call gay marriage sumthing different bcoz it IS sumthing different...a man and women joined in holy matrimony is called "marriage"...it should be called sumthing different for 2 of the same sex...that will give gay ppl more uniqueness and more recognition and it will be acknowledged that it is 2 of the same sex if the marriage is given a different name...

that is a much better point than what blackzon was trying to say...i dont really have anything to say to counter that. well said. you make a good point, but i still disagree.
You guys haven't read up on this subject much as it's not called marriage. its a civil union.

lol... nice... cival union.. dont most people marry just for the benefits?? for us (any religous persons) marriage is sooo much more than cival union
Ive never seen anythig to support your theory on tax breaks.
My parents have been together for 7 years, and they aren't married yet, Plus, i think its a bit stupid to assume that people only marry for the tax breaks. Im pretty sure love is the major factor at play.

yup, platinum is rite, marriage gota be love....if u dont love sumone it sux to marry them.....BUT, sumtimes u can marry a person AND THEN start loving them, so both cases r fine, as long as u dont end up breaking up............or end up tying ur partner on a pole and burning them, then while they burn u piss on them, and then while they burn u shoot them, then u start chopping off body parts, then u piss sum more(by this time ur partner is prolly dead, but u can continue), then throwing the pole in the ocean.....HAHAHAHA jk lol
nice description. lol
LOL...i was kinda bored, and felt like doing sumthin funny/stupid....i can make better description than that LOL....but ne ways, we r getting off topic...

I believe in God
God says in teh Bible it is a sin to be gay
Thats all i care about (Thank God i am not gay)

god doesnt say anything. a man sitting in a cave thousands of years ago wrote a book that says that god says that homosexuality is a sin.

thank god you're not gay? wow, if i were you, i'd cuss god out for giving me such a narrow mind
people are people gay or straight.love the one your with or so so the song goes
how would humans reproduce if they were all gay? i think the "caveman writing a book" is justified. also about the God. i myself am not that hard core of a Christian. take 6 day creation for example. i could be one of those crazy people who say that everything was made in 6 days. but obviously science proves it wrong. i believe in both science and religon. the big bang probably did happen. but think about it... if there werent a god, how would the big bang have happened? an explosion? of what? it is there for kind of obvious that someone or something set that in motion
I believe that science is an explanation for god. If you look at it that way, that science is pretty much explaning what god did. Sometimes I think that god MADE our minds to think in such a manner that we can't get to the truth. So that we stay in our confused spots.

Science doesn't explain what God did. A long time ago, people didn't understand this, so they wrote the bible to try and explain it in the best way that they could. And it was wrong. They were too damn self-centered to realize that time and the world itself was enough to create life.

Science is explaining what happened in spite of some God.

But yet again, humans also reproduce too much, the world is getting crowded.
There are theories that gay people are a way of controlling reproduction but i doubt it, Thats why everyone isn't gay also. Just because we can't reproduce doesn't make us less natural, as most feel we where always this way, it IS in our nature.

this is not entirely true. people just choose to live closely together. a good example would be that the whole world's population could all fit inside texas and still have 10K feet of space. hard to believe isn't it?
and yes it is our nature to reproduce. devilish:
How could they possibly calculate that?

Plus, 10 thousand feet is insignificant, seeing as Texas is over 1.4 billion square feet large.
[/sarcasm] Wrote:I'm fine with them, and they should be able to marry and have the same rights as anyone else. The government saying otherwise is denying them their unalienable right of liberty, which is against the Constitution in the most basic way.

Yeah. There are few things that I don't see this way on, and Abortion seems to be the only one I can think of.

That's a whole different thread though
i forgot who exactly said that.. but it has been calculated. texas is big enough to hold the whole world's population. if someone were to do the calculations... im sure it would work. lol
sigh, we can argue for ages about gay marriage...
That's what makes it a good debate.
