Ive never seen anythig to support your theory on tax breaks.
My parents have been together for 7 years, and they aren't married yet, Plus, i think its a bit stupid to assume that people only marry for the tax breaks. Im pretty sure love is the major factor at play.

This is the beginning of a long post(which happens to be my 666th post, but I digress):

You know as much as you would like to think that people can marry for love, there are some seriously twisted, selfish b*tches out there who would marry for the "tax breaks". But for those who CAN wait to not have sex 'till marriage and truly love each other, then you have the making of a beautiful thing to last thru the ages.

I believe that science is an explanation for god. If you look at it that way, that science is pretty much explaning what god did. Sometimes I think that god MADE our minds to think in such a manner that we can't get to the truth. So that we stay in our confused spots.

Actually, yes he did make our minds that way because we're supposed to just trust that he knows what he's doing(which he does). It's just another test of our faith and trial of our belief.

Science doesn't explain what God did. A long time ago, people didn't understand this, so they wrote the bible to try and explain it in the best way that they could. And it was wrong. They were too damn self-centered to realize that time and the world itself was enough to create life.

Science is explaining what happened in spite of some God.

Btw, about religion. You guys might say something like a caveman wrote the book or whatever. But it doesn't matter how foolish the ideas in the bible are. The point is, if you pay importance to religion, you have to believe whatever the bible says and not really care about what it says. So I think pointing out that a caveman wrote the bible isn't a good debate point. Because as it says in the bible, the bible carries the message of god even though it is written by man.

religion itself is not the entire problem. it is the fear and hate that lie behind religion that is the problem. people fight all the time because they fear an outside influence will come in and make their religion a minority and they cant stand not being the big man with the stick. then there are the people who have blind hate toward a person who is different so they use religion as a mask to hide behind to preach hate and intolerance toward the different people. god hates this. god hates that. no, you hate etcetera and you're using the name of god to back your idiocy.

Amen. But actually, the reason why we have so many religions today is just that. Many interpretations + people's desires and loathings = a religion for each walk of life.
