A cival war to decide how much power the states should really have. Like the Cival War you read about in history Blue. A fight to free the slaves. The northern and southern states disagreed about what laws should be in what states, so they went to war.

i know what a civil war is what happened before, but a cival war on gay marriage, i just dont see it happening. before i think it was about slavery, now its only about gay marriage which should be banned anyways. in my opinion, there should be a law where if theres evidence that you are a couple with someone (doesnt have to be married) they should have to pay a fine/go to jail

How do you think the Cival War happened Blue? The states had more power than the government and hd differant laws. The northern states dissagreed with the law of the southern states in the matter of slavery. The southern states told the northern states to mind their own busseniss and kiss their ass. Then came the war.

Ok, I have two points right now.

First off is, marriage is defined as: the state of being a married couple voluntarily joined for life (or until divorce).

It is also a Religious binding of two people, depending on the religion.

Its a religious thing, Isnt there sposed to be a seperation of religion and state? So theres my question, how can it be illegal, when the state is sposed to have no control over it?

I don't recall you answering anything. And no, that is not why the Civil War started. Slavery was contained to the southern states, there was no spreading. It was a battle of power between states. what kind of history have you learned? first off, slavery was NOT contained in the south, it was in the north as well. second, it was spreading westward as well as northward. why the hell do you think all of the compromises were passed in the first place?

Its not so much the civility of modern people, cause if anything we're more violent now, but the power of the government that would prevent a civil war. People are to scared to revolt against the government in that magnitude these days otherwise we wouldn't be stripped of so many civic freedoms. And Zero research your post. Slavery was just as rampant in the north. But the south relied heavily on their plantations as a source of commerce and slaves did the work on the plantations. So really it was the threat of change on their way of life that drove them to war. And to tell you the truth. If Abe Lincoln could see the way things are today that war would have never happened.
