You want to go into your BIOS and look for the boot sequence somewhere in there. Make sure it boots from the CD ROM drive before it tries to boot from the harddrive.

its different for some computers sometimes its delete, sometimes its f1 or f2. i'd guess it would be f1 so on restart. just press f1 at the logo screen and it should send you there.

or you can do what my sister does and continuously push F1 on restart till it sends her to it.

for me working with PC solutions i Work with over 20X compters a day 9 times out of 10 Its F2 for setup and F12 for boot Now You have to have Auto exec For the Cd to be bootable.

Now if you said you rebuild your old Pc you got to make sure your not under any partions. put any windows cd that is bootable and delete. If it was a Windows 9x you have to make a boot Disk with fdisk Windows Xp boot disk do not have fdisk on it. Free Software Downloads and Software Reviews - Download.com has a program to make 9x boot disk.

Normaly on any system with no Os on it to Run a setup you need to do this

Make a 9x boot disk

Put disk in and let you get to A:/ type in fdisk delete all partions and make a new one.

Next reboot but keep disk in
at A:/ type cd C:/
A:/cd C:/

Now at C:/ type in
C:/cd D:/

unless you have 2 cd-roms then its D and E maby F ( This could be your Main problem if you got more then 2 cd-roms try useing the other one)

Now at D:/ type in Dir
Look for setup file
setuplinux.exe or something
type in the file name to run it. and it should take you to a screen to install

I may be wrong on someparts of these secne i normal play with windows i got a buddy who Host FTP and Web sever on Linux ill talk to him on his input.

Ill Post on this tread again once i talk to him. Hope this helps you.
