well im starting this because most of the people i talk to always talk about guitar hero 1 or 2. I dont understand why. Ive played it before and it bores me after the first 3songs. (yes, i played it on expert mode)
I play guitar in real life and have been doing so for about 3years. probally my best achievement is Cemetary Gates by Pantera if that tells u ne thing about skill level on guitar. But i find this game boring and dont understand how people can play it over and over when its just like ddr with a guitar.
Opinions please

It is fun but really playing my instrument is way better. Definetely playing bass is better than playing Guitar Hero.

I find it fun as hell, the first songs of course suck, they are just repetitive crap.
And of course it's like DDR but with a guitar, that's the point. Both games are fun. And yes, I do play guitar as well.

Hello, my brother got Guitar Hero 2 for christmas and hes like obsessed with it. I agree, it is boring. I don't play guitar in real life but my brother does. I usually play in Hard but the odd time I will play Expert. Guitaring in real life is so realistic, with just like in Guitar Hero, hammer-ons and pull offs. I am kind of looking forward and hoping for a Guitar Hero 3 to come out.

His post confused the hell out of ME...I am not sure about the REST of you.... As for the topic...I posted a conversation all about Fuggy's excessive playing and breaking his hand.The bitch couldn't even type fast...and trust me...he types almost faster than I can read and I read fast. I have to say *stfu* sometimes because I am in a video game or on WAY too many IMs.

Maybe the reason Guitar hero is fun to most people is because MOST PEOPLE can't play a real guitar. I play it a couple times a week but I play my games on Wii and PC alot more.

I played guitar hero 2 at a friends house for the first time a while ago. It was kinda fun, couldn't imagine playing it alone though, that would probably be quite boring. Kind of annoys me though, the people that own guitar hero, yet have never touched an actual guitar. My friend plays it all the time, but doesn't own/play/attempt and actual guitar.

Yay for Misfits, the only person on this forum I now consider lower on the intelligence chain than Blue. You do know it is possible to play both Real guitar and Guitar Hero, just like you can Really dance and play DDR.

i dont find it boring i found it super hard i play bass and guitar hero for me was stupidly difficult like really i refused to play with cosin ... so he played sweet child of mine on guitar hero while i played it live in his room on a real bass ... much better tbh and alot easier

Guitar Hero is awesome, I have played a real guitar and I suck horribly at it so I sing instead. For those of you who say Guitar Hero is for people who can't play a real guitar I should mention that Trivium keeps a copy on their tour bus and these guys are awesome guitarists.
