When people are dissing emo, they're not dissing the music.... it's the way that people dress and look JUST BECAUSE of the style of music they listen to.

I listen to Metal. I wear band shirts to support the bands I listen to. My hair isn't long because I listen to metal, it's because I like it that way. It'd be the same way if I listened to rap.

I think everyone should quit playing anti-stereotype and get on with their lives. Emo, Hardcore, Punk and Rap will always have their hardcore followers who will dress a certain way just because of the music they listen to... Get over it.

Nah, you gotta go out and meet some better goths man, all the one's I have ever met have been mostly upbeat people with just an artsy flare to them. A few were actually hardcore goths, which I have nothing against since they really are different from the normal people you meet on the street and they are quite impressive with thier act if they know enough.
